I now have my NEW STUDIO, built in the place of the old garage. 

A lovely place to work and display my art and creations, and also provide a space for my

partners metalwork to be displayed.

The Welsh Slates

All the slates that I use for my paintings are reclaimed Welsh Slates that have had a

former life as roof slates, and are now being replaced.

I particularly like the different shapes that the slates give to the artwork, with the original

nail holes and imperfections visible. 

I paint using acrylics, and choose subject matter that I think will work particularly well

with the colour of the slate, as well as doing commissions.

Each slate is then finished with varnish and either existing holes used

or new ones made, for the leather cord that is used to hang the slate.

All slates are completely unique and original.

Canvas Wall Art

I also enjoy painting onto canvas in more of an abstract/realistic style,

combining the realism of the subject with abstract unnatural colours. 

I'm now printing these colourful images onto canvas, foam tiles and coasters.
